CRAFTS

Here is a sample of my craft. Most of these are either replicas of archaeologial artefacts, or creations inspired by them.

I am particularly fond of new challenges, of projects which push the limits of my technical knwoledge !

The building work is conducted as part of a member of the team at the Randa Ardesca open air museum.

YUKON

In order to help the trappers Kim Pasche and Pierre-Yves Duc to settle a new camp, I spent two fantastic months on their lands, lost deep within the Canadian territory of the Yukon, few hundred kilometres away from any other human activity.

The prime reason for this adventure was giving a hand at building the cabin which will be at the heart of this new settelment. Except for a few welcomed mechanical help (chainsaw, chainsaw winch and such), this cabin was built the traditionnal way, with hand tools, from trees felled directly on site.

The experience was all the more intense as we were in almost complete autarcy, in the midst of untamed nature, with a fauna discovering us as much as we were discovering it. Reindeer, moose, grizzly, black bear, porcupine... A well-populated loneliness !

HIGHLIGHTS

Archaeology & craft

You will find here snapshots of moments which have marked my journey.
From my first excavations in Chartres at the age of 15, to my various training courses, my participation in cultural mediation events supported by historical re-enactment (Legion VIII Augusta, Randa Ardesca), my activities within the AMHE, etc.
